I’m a qualified counsellor and an Accredited Registrant (MNCPS Acc.) of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I’m calm, friendly, and non-judgemental, and I believe a good therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and client is the most important aspect of the counselling process, and is essential for facilitating positive change.
In my private practice, I provide individual counselling to adults of all ages, face-to-face and online. I have experience of working with people with a variety of mental health challenges who have accessed counselling for anxiety, low mood, depression, bereavement, trauma, stress including work related stress, family issues, relationship break-ups, abuse, and low self-esteem.
I have previously volunteered with two charities providing counselling. I started my counselling practice volunteering at the Margaret Jackson Centre in Exeter, providing individual counselling to adults of all ages. I also volunteered with the charity Children and Families in Grief in South Devon, supporting bereaved families. This involved working therapeutically with children, young people, and families, who had suffered a significant loss, alongside another qualified counsellor in the family home.
